Every service on this page is non-medical, non-clinical support for daily living at home. Meliza Jones, RN, BSN, brings a nurse's attention to safety and comfort to every visit, but each service is help with everyday life, not a substitute for medical treatment or professional health care. For any health concern, please contact your doctor or another licensed healthcare provider directly.
Many of the people we support simply want good company: someone to share a cup of tea with, reminisce over old photographs, or sit through an afternoon of cards and quiet conversation. Meliza brings a calm, attentive presence into your home, treating every visit as time well spent rather than a task to check off. Companionship visits can include conversation, hobbies, reading aloud, puzzles, or simply sitting together while you rest. For many families, this steady, familiar presence is what makes the biggest difference day to day, easing loneliness and giving both client and family real peace of mind.
Personal care assistance covers the everyday activities of daily living that can become harder to manage with age or limited mobility: bathing, grooming, dressing, and general hygiene support. Meliza assists with dignity and patience, helping you stay clean, comfortable, and put together without rushing or embarrassment. This is hands-on help with a daily routine, not a clinical procedure.
It does not include tasks that require a licensed nurse or doctor, and any concern beyond daily hygiene is always referred back to your physician. The goal is simply to help you manage the basics of your day with ease, privacy, and respect.
A tidy, comfortable home makes daily life easier and safer, especially when stairs, clutter, or a full sink become obstacles. Light housekeeping includes washing dishes, tidying living spaces, changing bed linens, doing laundry, vacuuming, and keeping bathrooms and kitchens clean and orderly. Meliza works around your routine and preferences, so the home stays the way you like it without disruption. This is everyday upkeep, not deep cleaning, construction, or heavy lifting projects. The aim is a home that feels cared for and easy to move through, freeing your energy for the people and activities that matter most to you.
Good nutrition is easier to maintain with a little help in the kitchen. Meal preparation includes planning simple, balanced meals, grocery list support, cooking, and portioning food for the day or week ahead, all built around your appetite, preferences, and any dietary guidance from your doctor. Meliza pays attention to what you actually enjoy eating, not just what is convenient to make, and can also help with light cleanup afterward. This service is about consistent, appealing food on the table and steady hydration, supporting your overall wellbeing without prescribing or managing any medical diet plan.
Getting to appointments, the pharmacy, or the grocery store can become a real barrier when driving is no longer easy or safe. Errands and transportation assistance covers accompanying you to doctor visits, picking up prescriptions, grocery shopping, and running everyday errands around Newport Beach and nearby communities. Meliza drives with you, waits during appointments, and helps carry and put away purchases once you are home. This keeps you connected to the outside world and your regular routine instead of feeling stuck at home. It is practical, dependable support for getting where you need to go, safely and without added stress.
Staying active supports strength, balance, and independence, even in small ways. Gentle exercise and mobility support includes assisted walks, light stretching, seated exercises, and steady hands-on support moving safely between rooms, chairs, and the bed. Meliza tailors each session to your comfort and ability, never pushing beyond what feels good that day. This is encouragement and physical steadiness, not a prescribed rehabilitation program; those services stay with your doctor or a licensed therapist. The goal is simply to help you move a little more, a little more confidently, and reduce the everyday risk of falls around the home.
Keeping track of multiple medications and schedules can be genuinely difficult, especially when pills need to be taken at different times of day. With medication reminders, Meliza lets you know when it is time to take your medication, keeps an eye on your usual schedule, and helps you avoid doubling up or missing a dose. It is a steady, friendly check-in built around your routine, not a clinical service.
This is reminders only, never administration. Meliza does not give medication, adjust dosages, or perform any task that requires a licensed nurse or doctor; those needs are always referred back to your physician or pharmacist.
Caring for a loved one is rewarding but exhausting, and family caregivers rarely get a real break. Respite care gives you scheduled time away, whether that is a few hours to run errands, attend to your own health, or simply rest, knowing your family member is in steady, attentive hands. Meliza gets to know your loved one's routine and preferences ahead of time, so the transition feels comfortable rather than disruptive. Visits can be occasional or regular, depending on what your family needs. This service exists as much for you as for the person you care for, protecting your own wellbeing so you can keep showing up for the people you love.
During hospice or end-of-life care, families often need a steady, comforting presence alongside the clinical team already involved. Meliza provides companionship, light personal care, and a calm hand to hold during a difficult season, working alongside hospice staff rather than in place of them. This might mean sitting quietly together, helping with comfort and daily routine, or simply being present so a loved one is not alone. It is emotional and practical support for the whole family during an especially tender time.
This is non-medical comfort presence only. Meliza does not provide clinical hospice treatments, pain management, or any task that belongs to the hospice nurse or physician team; those remain entirely with your hospice provider.
Consistent daily routines support memory, comfort, and a sense of control, especially as habits or health change over time. Daily routine coaching means Meliza helps you build and stick to a schedule that works for you: wake and rest times, meals, hydration, light activity, and simple daily goals. This might include gentle reminders throughout the day, encouragement, and conversation about what is working and what is not. The focus is steady structure and companionship, not a clinical program. Small, consistent routines can make a meaningful difference in how each day feels, giving both you and your family more predictability and peace of mind.
No. Jolly HCA provides non-medical, non-clinical support only: companionship, help with daily living, light housekeeping, and similar everyday assistance. Jolly HCA is based on the coast in Orange County and regularly serves Newport Beach, Corona del Mar, Laguna Beach, Newport Coast, Costa Mesa, and Irvine. Pasadena and Beverly Hills are also served, though those visits involve a longer drive and are arranged further in advance, since availability for those communities is more limited.

Call (808) 729-8026 to talk through what your family needs. Because Meliza keeps a deliberately small client list so every visit stays unhurried and one-on-one, availability is limited, so it helps to reach out as soon as you are considering care.
Have a question about any of these services, or want to talk through what your family needs? Call any time.
